In Real estate jargon, when a piece of property is hot, people are "flipping" the property from one owner to the next, you go to a closing and there are numerous people stand at a table ready to sign the paperwork. At the end of the table, there is the last buyer of the property and there is no one to sell it too at the high price. This last owner is called "The Last Fool"! So, in Dub land who will be the last fools?

Our congregation will be deleted
by Rattigan350 inlast night was the co's visit.
prior to his part, an elder had a part on following theocratic direction.
it was about our congregation being deleted (there are 2 sharing this hall) and the people and territory being divided up to the 4 other surrounding ones.. they say it is not about numbers but about making best use of resources.

"Are natural disasters a sign of the times?" -- Yes, says WT
by FatFreek 2005 inyes, bible prophecies suggest that there would be disasters during “the conclusion of the system of things,” or “the last days.” (matthew 24:3; 2 timothy 3:1) for example, concerning our time, jesus said: “there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.” (matthew 24:7).
that from their website this morning.. i see how they've morphed (by interpretation) food shortages and earthquakes into virtually all bad happenings today.. i'll bet if the "blue bonnet" (one elder's fractured pronunciation of bubonic during a public talk, using it not once but three times) plague, one of which happened nearly 700 years ago -- was going on today, it would be a sign of the times.
after all, it "caused the death of 60% of the population of europe".. no natural devastation like that seen since..

35+ years ago, I was freshly out of High School and the discussion came up about an increase in earthquakes equating to the "Time of the End". It was just a High School Education and having the ownership and possession of a National Geographic Atlas of Maps that included a map of the Ring of Fire, maps of the earths' plates, and areas of high plate shift and regions of high expectation of earth quakes. There was a major earth quake and Brother "Has too much Faith in the Governing Body" mentioned this as a precursor of the Great Tribulation. I said, Brother "Bama Much Faith", this is a region prone to earth quakes because they are located on top of a plate. I further mentioned there were about 5000 earthquakes a year. He debated with me about how many EQ's there were and I humbly remained silent.
About a year later, the explanation from the WTBTS was that earthquakes would be effecting more persons than ever in history not necessarily increasing in numbers. Which is a safe bet. Just thought this was interesting.

Love Among Yourselves?
by Lost in the fog inyou have to wonder why a congregation which claims to have love among itself would not do something to help this poor off member of the congregation.
oh wait a minute, they preached to him, got him in, so now he's on his own - just like all the rest of them!

Shirley, you mention Trump comparing him to this CO. There are many examples of Trump showing more "love" than I've ever seen in the JW religion group. Observing desolate congregations with an overwhelming Lack of love in the congregation/organization, especially in my family was a wake up call. However, Mom did take me and siblings and then grand children to Mow the lawns of sisters/brothers who were elderly and were not physically able, she would co-sign sisters hospital bills and end up paying for it monthly because the sister's husband had no means to. I don't think Dad ever knew how many people he was supporting. Dad loans brothers money also. One brother before he died sent a letter to Dad with a check for x amount, and said thank you for helping me out when I would down and out. Dad tore up the check and never cashed it. He called the Brother up and they talked some, latter when they met again in person they hugged in a manly fashion. I remember an occasion where Dad had asked me if he should load x amount of dollars to a Brother. I replied yes, but do not expect him to ever replay you. He did loan the money and never was repaid. I believe this is a valid subject, however, there are many witnesses that will privately assists needy ones. I would give the Organization and Congregations as a whole, an F grade. However, I believe privately the brothers do step up and assist. Not always, but just some things that I have noticed.

Oh how this religion has changed! Would this have been permitted 20 years ago??
by stuckinarut2 inhttps://m.facebook.com/100002613343180/posts/2271710659592690?sfns=mo.
would the old-timers even recognise this religion anymore?.
this is from one of the international conventions held this year.

I was waiting for Dezi Arnez to come out and start singing. Interesting, considering all the self-righteous ones criticism of my talents in music that they felt I should not enjoy or participate in. I would like to see the Tango in Buenos Aires done at an International Welcoming Program. You know the Slutty dance.

JW Broadcast May 2019: Anxiety
by StephaneLaliberte inthe women's testimony was a hard watch.
i feel so sorry for her.
the concept that spirituality can overcome sickness immediately induce guilt in the individual and even the sister said so herself @18:40: "i feel ashamed", "wrong with me", "guilty about that", "i'm letting jehovah down", "disobedient to jesus".

Yes, you should imitate the Governing Body members who have no anxiety. To maintain unity, The Governing Body, dismisses any Bethelite (Be-the-elite) that has any opinions especially those that differ from theirs. They cut all necessary workers to maintain their standard of living without any stress, and if need be, they request skilled craftsmen to come and work free at their house, I mean the House of God.
Then they routinely admonish Publishers who have been fooled by their slick tongue to donate as much as possible to help the World Wide Brotherhood which they use for themselves. In addition, they do not have to worry about Health Care or any expenses acquired because they are the irreplaceable Governing Body, and Jehovah's Witnesses have an obligation to pay for these cost.
The Governing Body doesn't worry about their family because they are either single or married without children, keeping their lives simple to serve the Lord, uhm, themselves. The Governing Body doesn't have anxiety of if their car will get them to work, or if the auto has enough gas, the insurance is paid for, or a car payment is made, or even maintenance.
Imitate the Governing Body, that has thrown all these anxieties to the wind and rely on you, uh, um well, you and other publishers to pay for them, because they are very Holy and God's Mouthpiece to the World. Well, they are to a point, they demand the publishers to actually do the work or Advertise, Advertise, Advertise, the King and his Kingdom, they use insignificant publishers to do the work, and then claim the credit.

Activism ideas for our local communities
by stuckinarut2 ini have been thinking of dignified ways to raise awareness about the toxicity of the jw religion in my local community.. so, yesterday, i phoned my local council head office to query the carts that are set up in several places in our town.. i was very polite and professional, and asked the council clerk if they were aware that a religious cult sets up its propaganda stands on council property near families and children on a regular basis.. i said:.
"while i am sure they may be very nice people, the group they represent teaches things that appear to me to be in direct conflict with the values and ethics of our local community and council.".
"their initial message seems pleasant, but i know for example, they are a very misogynistic and homophobic group.

I feel like dressing up like a witness of the 1920s with a long beard, wooden cart, with Millions Now Living Will Never Die reprints, Studies Of the Scriptures, Big Watchtower Reprints, and set right beside the modern day witnesses, exclaiming, the end will be in 1925.
Then on the other side have another couple dressed up like Witnesses in the 1960s preaching the end will be in 1975 having reprints of the Watchtowers of the 1970s.

Running Ahead of the Organization

good thing this woman wasn't a jw.
some people just can't wait.

Blondie, you are correct. When reading any Watchtower article, especially their study articles, simply transpose "Watchtower Bible and Tract Society" for their use of "Jehovah". It will then make greater sense to the reader of the nature of the Earthly Manmade Organization.
